Black Sea Research Program-Noah

The “Black Sea Research Program-Noah” is partner in the international Consortium “BLACK SEA RESEARCH PROGRAMME NOAH, which is contractor of the project “Field observation of the cetaceans Tursiops truncatus, Phocoena phocoena and Delphinus delphis in the Bulgarian Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) in the Black Sea”, funded by the European Operational program “Environment 2007-2013”.
PARTNERS

In order to achieve significant goals in the field of maritime, to conduct more studies and achieve a high level of public benefit, the association has partnered with renowned research institutes in Bulgaria and worldwide.

Institutes such as Bulgarian Academy of Science, Space research and technology institute, Institute of Fish Resources- Varna, the Oceanographic Institute- Varna are one of the most important partners with which the association has created serious relationships and develop future projects.

On 7th of October was held a meeting between the consortium partners. The main topic of the meeting was the implementation of the Dolphin`s project. World-renowned experts in cetacean and ecologists took part in the meeting.

Representatives of all the partners in consortium- the Greek company, specialized in environmental projects ENVECO SA, the worldwide fishery consultants “MacAlister Elliott and Partners” Ltd, the Romanian NGO “Mare Nostrum”, the Institute of Fish Resources- Varna and the Bulgarian NGO “Black Sea Research Programme-Noah” discussed the newest and the best methods that should be used for dolphins observations.
