Activity of IRR-Varna: Through the MASRI project, the IRR - Varna upgrades the Laboratory for Marine Living Resources - retrofitting it with new laboratory equipment and purchasing software programs, in order to form a specific Module: "Models and scenarios for ensuring sustainability of marine living resources”. The established Laboratory and the Module will assist the joint work of marine institutes to apply a wide range of input parameters in calibrating the models and obtaining forecasts for the processes in the marine environment, providing possibilities for interpretation of biological and hydrological, as well as of hydrochemical processes, and application of an ecosystem approach to marine resource management.
